Facing Fear

(False Evidence Appearing Real)

When you are feeling fear, it's tempting to follow it down the rabbit hole and get lost in the useless world of what ifs. If you do, feeling a little stuck may blossom into a full-blown nightmare.

Keep in mind that fear is:

  1. A normal response to personal growth;
  2. Generally, nothing to be afraid of;
  3. A gateway into meaningful change.

While fears are normal, they are scarcity-based thoughts. If they are given credence they can put an end to even the most well laid plans.

For success in facing your fears:

  1. Acknowledge your fears with compassion: "It can be scary to go after what I most want."
  2. Shift from scarcity to prosperity-based thoughts. What leads me to want to go after what I really want in life?
  3. Begin to execute specific steps that will incrementally move you toward your goals.
  4. Create and use tools to manage fear. Consider keeping a journal of your fears.Next to each fear write down the action you've taken, despite the fear.

Experience your freedom from fear!
